Why a CSV can look right and still fail to import
Check delimiters, quoted cells, record widths and destination rules.
Quote commas inside cells
A title containing a comma needs a quoted field. Double quotes within that field. A quoted line break belongs to the cell, so record numbers can differ from text-file line numbers.
Choose the delimiter
Exports may use commas, semicolons or tabs. Rowmend detects a candidate from the header and lets you override it. Check the headings before proceeding.
Review malformed records
A non-empty record with more or fewer cells than the header stops processing. Extra cells are not silently truncated or shifted into other columns.
Check platform requirements
Shopify documents additional product-import rules. Repeated handles may represent variants, so duplication alone does not establish an error. This tool does not connect to your store or guarantee acceptance.
